Pet portraits bring hope and new lives.

For over four years I've been photographing the unwanted and abandoned pets that arrive on the doorstep of Kawerau SPCA. It's been a voluntary and  relentless project, difficult at times, but also very rewarding in that my pet portraits have raised the profile of the animals, and helped  secure them a better future. I have had the pleasure of watching  hundreds of animals go off to great new homes.  Animals are adopted out, not just to people living in Kawerau, Whakatane or the Bay of Plenty, but all over New Zealand, thanks to the reach of the internet. As a photographer and an animal lover, I find these positive outcomes extremely satisfying..
